System Council U-7, IBEW is the sole and exclusive collective bargaining agent with New York State Electric & Gas.

System Council U-7 is comprised of four Local Unions;

Local 83 represents the workers in Binghamton, Brewster, Elmira, Hornell, Ithaca, Liberty Oneonta and Plattsburgh. Representing Local 83 is Gary Bonker, President and Leo Yanez, Vice President.

Local 249 represents the workers in Auburn and Geneva. Representing Local 249 is Mark Valerio, President and Pat Stein, Vice President.

Local 966 represents Lancaster and Lockport. Representing Local 966 is Michael Lutz, President and Chris Fox, Vice President.

Local 1143 represents Mechanicville. Representing Local 1143 is Robert Smith, President and Gary Phillips, Vice President.

The council's regular monthly meeting is held the second Friday of every month.
